A true reflection or something else
A misplaced vision of oneself
An interpretation, the mind’s eye
We often search, no reason why
Behind the glass, there in a soul
If you look closely, a rabbit hole
Lines revealing a path we forged
Within us healing, our minds engorged
Move in closer, it signifies
A vision revealing, it magnifies
Not like a camera, where time slips by
A mirror’s a reflection, a question why
Just one blink, a single frame
Search for truth, hide from shame
We must conceal it, the impulse strong
A shallow vision, it lingers on
A distorted vision makes the heart cry
Is there a meaning, a reason why?
Sights unseen, an image new
In stillness it stands, a distorted view
An interpretation, it can deceive
We see ourselves in what we believe
A true reflection—seldom unseen
Misunderstanding, within a dream
A mask concealing what’s underneath
Remove the layers, restore belief.
